Questions

Before you register

Is it really free?

Yes. The webinar is free. At the end, Sarah Mckenzie will mention an AI Campus course for anyone who wants to go further, and people who attended get 20% off if they enrol within 7 days. Buying is entirely optional.

Is this only for Computer Science students?

No. Students from all disciplines are welcome: Law, Nursing, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, Mass Communication, Education, the Sciences and more. You do not need to be a programmer.

What do I need?

A phone or laptop and an internet connection. The webinar runs on Microsoft Teams: on a laptop the link opens in your browser; on a phone, install the free Microsoft Teams app before the session. Allow about 300 MB of data for the hour. No technical background is needed.

Will this get me paid AI work or an industrial-training placement?

The session explains how paid AI data projects and industrial-training (SIWES) opportunities work and the skills and certification you need to qualify. Places depend on available projects and on passing the required assessments, so nobody can promise a placement to every student, but you will leave knowing exactly what to work towards.

How do employers check my certificate?

Every AI Campus certificate carries a unique ID. Anyone can confirm it is genuine, free, on our certificate verification page.

What if I miss it?

Stay registered and we'll email you the recording the next morning.

How do I join on the day?

We email the join link when you register (or before the session if the link isn't ready yet), again the day before and again one hour before the start.

I'm not a student. Can I come?

Yes. The sessions are designed for students, but graduates, corps members and anyone curious about AI careers are welcome.
